I have been a big fan of First Manufacturing since I purchased a Night Rider jacket a couple years ago. It's probably the best leather Jacket I'll ever own. I ride with it until it gets so hot I absolutely can't stand it anymore and start wearing it again as soon as it starts to hit the low 60's in the mornings even if it's going to be in the high 80's riding home after work. Once it's too cold to ride, I wear it as my winter jacket. So when I needed a new pair of summer gloves I was excited to try another First MFG product and went with the Axis model. I hate to say this, but I'm disappointed with the quality, especially at $50 bucks. As soon as I took them out of the bag, I noticed the leather is extremely thin, and doesn't really even feel like leather. The rubber grippy stuff on the palms started to come off after the first ride (of less than 15 miles) and today as I was putting them on to ride home from work, ironically right as I was thinking about what to say in this review, one of the velcro tabs just ripped right off as I was pulling it closed. This is after just wearing them a few times, probably less than 50mi total. On the good side, they do fit well and the fingertips work with a touchscreen. My wife sewed the tab back on and I'll keep wearing them, but I can't recommend the Axis model glove to anyone. The Night Rider jacket is great though.
