First off I'm 5'11, 182 Lbs athletic (shoulders and no beer belly) and the XL fits me like if it was tailor-cut.
I've had First Manufacturing jackets for probably 15 years now. I'm a motorcycle jacket obsessed fool but I've kept my marriage only (emphasis on "only") because I resell one when I get a new one... I try buying made in USA when I can afford it but First Manufacturing jackets have always impressed me with the quality of the cuts, the leather, the finish including the thread they use, the zippers... Their jackets are practically as good as U.S.A. made ones, the leathers being just one notch below but still really good. This Crusader one doesn't disappoint.
I bought this particular style because it was the only one available in a light brown ("Whiskey") that wasn't a "Brando flap" cut (I do have one from FMC in black that's great but one is enough!). I would have preferred two chest zippers and padding on the elbows, not on top of the jacket where it's just for looks and kinda too much but... I still love this jacket. It is visible for one thing, much more so than black or dark brown ones, a plus if you value being seen by drivers and getting to ride another day. This beige is bright! The leather is reasonably thick, yet very supple and comfortable. We'll see how it ages, but I will clean it with the best products when the time comes. I would probably not wear in the rain if I can help it. It is winter now so I've worn it with its liner. Beautiful…

Right out of the box the jacket feels great and the quality seems great as well. My only issue is with the sizing, I really need to just order a custom jacket. I’m 5’6” at a lean 205 lbs, I ordered a 2xl and it barely fits. If I was going to put armor in it would be too tight to bend my arms. Also it is probably 2” too long but at the 50% off sale and for a non riding jacket I think I’ll keep it

Soft and supple, right out of the box. Fit was perfect even with the extra bit of weight around my middle. It will be a while before I use the jacket because winter weather in the mountains is not conducive to riding. But, the general feel and fit of the jacket suggest that it will be a worthwhile purchase. Without the armor, it will be a nice jacket to simply wear around town.

The leather is great, very soft and supple out of the box. The construction seems to be great quality. The color is spot on from the pictures. The fit is a bit tighter than the sizing chart measurements indicate, even with no armor and especially with the liner. The holster pockets are a convenient addition, though they could use a bit of tweaking. They work a bit better just stuffing it down into the corner- less of an Imprint and trying to get the muzzle into the elastic requires flagging yourself in the ribs. The vents on the back are huge, the front not so much, but they seem well placed for good air movement when.
Overall, I like the jacket. Even with the armor in place it’s fairly comfortable, although snug. If you prefer a more relaxed-fitting jacket get a size up.

This jacket is awesome. Amazing cost/benefit ratio. I am 6'2, the L fits almost perfectly. Plenty of room for body armor, and for carrying your cell phone, glasses etc. Very happy!

i was really concerned about ordering a jacket online.. after hours of obsessing about the size chart and trying other brands on locally, i went with the medium crusader mens jacket. it is a perfect fit... for winter rides with a sweatshirt on.. i'm 5' 8", 160 lbs with 41 chest, 22 arm, 40 waist and 23 back. also a great deal on black friday.
