Born Free is one of our favorite events of the year - taking place in sunny Southern California, deep within Trabuco Canyon. This is the 14th year of this show that started in a parking lot and has morphed into a massive show with some of the best choppers, customs and more.
One of the highlights of this show is the Invited Builder corral, with various builders creating gorgeous custom bikes to be showcased. Right behind that is the “friends and family” area, with bikes that have been shown in previous years, along with a bunch of awesome bikes that deserve to be featured. In addition to these two areas, San Diego Customs has a performance bike area, with an FXR and Dyna show and Performance Bagger show for those who dig the high-horsepower bikes.
Born Free also features a ton of vendors, small businesses, and builders with booths located all around the lake in the middle of the venue. Everything from vintage clothing to handmade bandanas, motorcycle parts, and helmets are available to purchase at the show.
This year also featured the motorcycle swap meet, with a few vendors selling incredible vintage motorcycles and parts. In addition to all of this fun, Vans shoes brings out a GIANT half pipe with skateboarders and BMX riders doing tricks throughout the day.
Not to mention the pre-party over at legendary Cooks Corner bar. Biltwell hosts a People’s Champ build off, and the bikes are voted upon at the pre-party on Friday night. The winner gets a spot in the Invited Builder corral!
