The Cutlass was my first jacket from First MFG. I'm 5'-8" and 160 lbs with an athletic build and the medium fits me perfectly. The overall construction is amazing and the materials are top quality, but, I just felt like something was missing when I wore this jacket on my bike. Once I was introduced to the Lowside vest, everything changed! The Cutlass jacket is made to go under the Lowside vest and that combo is the perfect storm for riding as far as I'm concerned. I hope First MFG does another run of these jackets because I think it's too good of a product to not have in their arsenal.

Jacket is good quality. Only downside is the sleeves are very long. Wish it had snaps instead of zippers at the end of the sleeves as well. The zippers tend to unzip while I'm riding.

I was looking for a jacket to wear this late Winter and Spring when the weather can still be on the cool side to transition between my full leather winter riding jacket and my mesh summer jacket. This fits the bill perfectly. Very sturdy textile/denim jacket with light weight leather sleeves. Looks great in black and is a heavy duty riding jacket that is super comfortable and blocks the cold wind great. I’m 6’-1” tall and 215 lbs. the XXL fits perfectly. Great quality for an even better price. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Jacket arrived today so I haven’t had it out in the wild yet. First impressions: jacket seems well made. Denim is stiff and thick. Will probably take a beating. Leather is soft and delicious. Icon armor fits perfectly in the elbows. Shoulder armer pockets are a tad small but the armer fits. Jacket is still comfy with armer installed.
What I’d change: the sleeves are a tad short and on the tight side. Not anyone’s fault- I have simian-like features and large pythons. Last thing- the collar seems kinda loose. Like around my collar bone area as Opposed to my neck. Looks and feels better with a thin hoodie underneath.
The jacket goes well with my high side vest, if not a tad cumbersome. I think I’ll keep it.
