The fit and quality of the pants is excellent. Just the right amount of stretch and the reinforced areas do not feel intrusive. My only dislike is in regards to the knee pad inserts. These pads feel too rigid and don't flex as much as I'd like for all day use. I'll be keeping the pants but finding D3O inserts to use instead.
I saw these reviewed on YT by a guy that was the same height, weight and waist that wears the same size jeans as me. They looked on him like they were not tight and fit well so I ordered them. (30x30) The waist fit me fine but everywhere else they fit me like bicycling lycra tights. I felt like a ballerina princess.....ha ha. I could see that having my knees bent while riding was going to pull the knee armor really tight across my kneecaps most likely causing discomfort if not pain on a longer ride. The 'jeans' material was oddly stretchy and I thought light weight considering the application. I was a fan of having the hip pads in place odd fit that gave me a strange shape. D30 probably would have been better.
For reference I am 5'7" 147lbs, slim/athletic build and wear 30x30 regular straight cut jeans....not skinny jeans.
FWIW, what I'd like in an armored, kevlar lined jean would be a heavy weight denim or canvas (think Carhartt etc...) without stretchiness in a straight cut style/fit.
Just got these pants and as far as fit and quality go I’m extremely impressed it’s hot this afternoon in CT and at 88-90 degrees F out here and they are way cooler than my other riding pants - night and day. They are true to size on fitment. I’m 6’, 192lbs and have a 32 waist with a 34 inseam and they are just comfortable. Definitely a slim fit jean if that’s not something you’re used to you might have to remember they’re slim fit and honestly in my opinion for a riding pant that’s perfect the armor, especially the knee protection is right there where I want it. I did have to use the Velcro adjustment inside the pants to the first Velcro placement but that took the pant from being ok to f’n spot on. These pants are comfortable and cool nice and light the Kevlar and armor placement gives me confidence that there is some solid protection. I can honestly say I have no remorse purchasing these pants. The $50 gift card was icing. Have to use it the same day but the hardest part about that was getting to choose what to spend it on. Love it brothers keep cranking out the good gear and keep two wheels down.
