I like this shirt. The fabric does have a different feel to it, but it's not uncomfortable. Does a good job insulating under a jacket for 50°F. If you want an athletic fit order down one size.

It's not quite what I thought it's a weird feeling material I've never felt not sure about washing it thought it's definitely wind proof I'm 5 foot 7 145 ordered a large fitting fine. These guys are great though so either way it's worth it.

Let's start with I'm 5'10" 190lbs with a 34" waist. Ordered the Medium at first. Didn't like it's fit. Exchanged for a Small. LOVE it. For me, as a base layer, I prefer it to be a more athletic fit. At most I would put a short or long sleeve Under Armor underneath it, then the base layer. I've worn it around and took it for a quick spin just to get an idea of how it felt. I like so far. I tried with a slightly looser long sleeve thermal over it and I did not feel like it was Bunchy or heavy. Definitely glad I got it so far. And the three button Henley aesthetic makes it easy to wear without anything over it. You know, when you're stopping at a bar after riding and it's not so cold in the bar. Lol.
