I live in Oregon and the weather changes on a dime. We had temps of 100 and two days later it was 72 and then 65. The vest with hoodie allows you to accommodate temp changes without having to buy different gear. Sure you could just wear a regular sweatshirt, but this one attaches to the vest and is removable for when it warms up.

The hoddie fabric is a little light weight but is really nice the vest quality is really good i was surprised when I found out that have the back armor pocket
