Warrior Princess Jacket

I’ve been keeping an eye on this piece for sometime so when I finally purchased it, I couldn’t wait to wear it. First off let me say the smell is amazinggggg. It has a nice weight to it and beautiful hardware. The only reason why I didn’t keep it was due to the sizing. It’s wayyy off. I’m 130lbs, 5’3, curvy & purchased an XS. I like to wear my riding jackets a bit snug and even with the pads, there was too much movement for my liking. The shoulders wear too big, the elbow pads didn’t sit on my elbows but my on forearms and the arm (width) were too big. Also, since I’m on the shorter side, I had trouble putting the jacket over my hip which caused it to bunch up. Might be a better fit for someone who has broader shoulders and/or who is a bit taller. It’s a also bit confusing when others who are smaller than myself say it’s a perfect fit.

My suggestion to FirstMFG, make smaller sizes and maybe add some hip zippers for women who are curvier.

I had originally found this jacket in a review on another site, and decided to look around for deals and availability, hoping to potentially find the gray colored one. Those were sold out, but the black was still beautiful. And I happened upon a 25% deal that made it an even more extremely attractive price. It came in a reasonable amount of time (even with the pandemic). It's comfortable and fits extremely well (I'm 5' 4", 100 lbs), and the XS fit perfectly, and has enough room for wearing hoodies or an extra layer if you're chilled. There is no armor, but double padding in areas to compensate. Absolutely love and recommend.

First off, this is far better leather than my "Maiden" that First Manufacturing also sells, and actually feels fitted for a female body, and doesn't have massive loose arms like the Maiden.

This is cut really well as if they nearly intended it for me, or at least a shorter me that never leans forward. I'm 5'9" and a big girl, but I ride year round either on my cafe racer or my touring bike. This jacket fits really well isn't too snug really anywhere, accommodates my shapre, which is a plus. The jacket won me over with actually having armor pockets, and the fact that it wasn't just another boring black jacket. I love the anthracite grey.

Which leaves me now to my complaints/wishlist.

- The side zipper. It just loses me on the the side zipper. It's impossible to visually see because I'm chesty. I always manage to zip it up, but it's a struggle and it's taken time to adapt.

- Hip Reliefs. Everything should have them, and they should be longer for hourglass shapes. 6" reliefs would make me so happy, or even just a stretch accordion in that area. Take in account riding position

- Longer waist length. Cater at least to the average, rather than short riders. Even on my touring bike with a very mild forward lean my lower back is always slightly exposed. Whenever I'm out on my cafe racer in a 3/4 or full tuck because of the ergos, my back can, will and has literally gotten sunburn because the coat just isn't long enough.

I love the style and look of this jacket, although the fit was a little off. I ordered the XL. I'm a curvy lady and the waist and arm length was perfect, but the bust/chest fit was pretty large. I think it was mostly because of the front zipper being off to the side as opposed to a center zip. I think each jacket is made differently and should be given their own individual dimensions in their descriptions. This would be a great jacket for a woman with a larger chest or broad shoulders or a woman who is tall and lanky.
