A few years ago on the short lived Hot Bike Tour I ran into John at Lake Fontana View on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Over the next few hours we rode together with a group of friends, made some unexpected stops on the Tail of the Dragon, and had a good time talking bikes. A few weeks ago with an itch to get out on the road and explore, we set a route over the NC/TN mountains. I called John to ask if we could crash at his place during the trip. We arrived with a few hours of daylight left and as we pulled in the steaks were on the grill and we knew it was going to be a fun night.
