FIM253SDC | Hipster - Men's Motorcycle Leather Jacket
The Hipster is a lightweight, center zip jacket with simple, clean styling. It's got plenty of features hidden under the simple styling, though, including plenty of pockets, conceal cary pockets, armor pockets, and armor pockets. The action back, snap side tabs, and zippered vents will keep you comfortable on and off the bike.

Good quality product. However it is not designed for a thinner guy. Made for a beer gut and skinny arms.
First Manufacturing Company products are so good I ordered a vest first I am from Australia, so I was a bit worried about quality and sizing. Their support and sizing details were spot on, so I then ordered the Hipster Motorcycle Leather Jacket it is fantastic, best motorcycle jacket I have ever ordered, and I have been riding for 45 years.
The Arai Concept -X looks seems like a very well made product!
I just received this and my first impression without having worn it except around the house to see how it fits is this is freaking awesome. I love the color and very slight and subtle distressing. Not overkill at all. The look is perfect. Great style and lines. Love that the wrist zippers are not on the underside of wrist but on the upper inside where I like the look and function better. Located at the top of wrist would be even better. A plus if you use this as a riding jacket is the zippers would not scratch the tank etc... like can happen with zippers located on the underside. Love the snaps on wrist as well. The way the wrists were handled was a big reason why I chose this jacket. The overall fit is pretty much perfect especially compared to the jacket I got this to replace: A medium size Schott 530 cafe racer which fits like crap even tho it's a size bigger than I bought here. Movement is really restricted in that jacket. Shoulders, back and chest too small, arms too big and way too long with body girth and length which is fine. I am 5'7" 160lbs, fit, some what muscular, 41" chest 15" arms for reference. No gut. That said, I got this Hipster for off the bike as I have other jackets with D30 armor for riding. From reviews I've read I understood this ran large so I got a size small Hipster and will not put in armor. Pretty sure it would not fit in my jacket w/o removing the liner. May not fit me wearing just a light weight shirt with armor either. I may take out the liner…
Quality is beyond amazing from leather to stitching passing by zippers, all perfect.
I usually wear medium but asked the team before ordering if I want a snug fit and they promptly replied recommending size small, it was perfect fit.
Thanks team for all the help and for the amazing quality.
Not recommend! Not good quality leather! After one week lining is exfoliates the inside of the leather and my black shirt or t-shirt covered with yellow leather or suede fibers.
I had tried this jacket on about a year ago at Renegade’s In Sacramento. This jacket reminded me of my first leather motorcycle jacket I bought back in ’75 in style and cut.
This Hipster fit very well (size XL) and the quality seems so far, excellent. Will update my review after a year of use, as I feel that is the only way one can truly see how this works out.
As far as my interaction with First Mfg? Excellent … more review space would help
Just got into riding as the country was shutting down for Covid earlier this year. I knew leathers were essential but didn't realize what kind of fit was necessary for protective gear to be effective. I'm 5'9 185 lbs 42 regular athletic build. I usually wear either a medium or large depending on the brand. (Large on Levi trucker jacket. Medium on American Giant Mechanics Jacket.. Large on Knox Urbane Pro) I originally ordered a Medium on this Hipster and I was swimming in it. I let it slide since i figured it'd be more comfortable on the bike and I could probably fit a hoodie underneath. It looked baggy and unflattering and but just sort of forgot about it because it was summer and I wasn't gonna wear it in the heat. It cooled down and when I tried it again I just wasn't happy, especially after gaining more riding experience learning that a snug fit is better for pads to be effective and stay put. I reached out to First Mfg co to ask for an exchange and they sent me a link to their return portal but my order was beyond their policy date range. I thought i was out of luck but I emailed again explaining the situation and they handled it immediately, allowing me to go through with the exchange, no questions asked. I received the small and it fits like a glove, even with the thermal lining and full set of pads. I feel safer and it looks great off the bike. Can't recommend this company enough! Thanks so much!!
