Fillmore Men's Motorcycle Leather Jacket

Not sure if this review will be helpful to anyone, but figured I'd go ahead and leave it just incase. I'm a women, 5'5", 130ish and went with the XS. I tried the First MFG women's Ryman, loved the jacket style but didn't like how thin the leather was for motorcycle use or how tight it was in the arms with armor. Returned it and decided to take a a chance on the Fillmore because it's basically the exact same jacket with more substantial leather (1.2mm vs .9mm) and a zip out liner.

First off, jacket quality is superb. Leather is thick, but very supple. Stitch quality looks very, very good. Definitely trust this to do it's job in a slide. Jacket fit is way roomier than a women's cut (obviously), but much better suited for layering on the bike. Fit wise, I'd say it's just a tad oversized on someone of with my frame, but not huge (it's still fitted enough to wear and look good off the bike in my opinion). Armor fits snug with the liner in, but very comfortably, and the liner itself is very good quality. This thing is warm as hell, perfect for winter riding. Zipper pockets are super deep, and I really love having a designated concealed carry pocket. Also really appreciate that the belt is removable (I like the look, but it scratches the tank on certain bikes with a more leaned over riding position). Only thing I dislike about this jacket is the length. Sits an inch or two below my waist, so the jacket bunches up a bit in the riding position, but I fully expected this with a men's…

A much better jacket than I expected for the price in truth. I sold jackets, vests and chaps for a couple of years so I have a slight insight into the costs. Usually at this price you get stiff, lower quality leather with fewer features.

However the jacket is nice and supple without being a cheap cut. The zippers are all easily used with or without gloves (including heavy winter style gloves). It fits nicely (drapes well, if you wish) with the room expected for arm length when on the bike. The flex in the shoulders is something I really like. The inside pockets are huge with stretchy panels to hold a pistol (both sides) or magazines.

I tried it with a full sized Sig and got some odd results. The Sig fit nicely in the left side with a slight printing by the top left zipper pocket. This would most likely decrease after use. The right side had trouble fitting the full sized pistol as it was pushed into the buttoned open. I suspect this will also open somewhat in time.

The liner is most likely good for most folks but I'll replace with something warmer. But I HATE getting cold so... Having said that it is a step or two over what you normally encounter in lower to mid priced jackets. Heck I've seen worse in expensive ones.

The jacket has already done me good in 30 degree to 80 degree weather and some of that was in the rain rain. I initially bought it to wear while I saved for a nicer one. I may change that plan and keep this one a long time.
